Description: Transitioning to competitive integrated employment and exploring job options can feel overwhelming for individuals, families, and those who support them. This quarterly training will highlight The Arc Minnesota’s Peer-to-Peer Mentor Program, which is part of MTI’s mission to build capacity and implement practices to support competitive integrated employment across Minnesota. This program provides meaningful support throughout the job search process by connecting participants with peer mentors and family mentors who have personal experience navigating similar employment journeys. Olivia Lape and Cortney Kressin, along with peer mentors, will lead a discussion on the program's purpose, the role of a mentor, how to get involved, and available resources. Participants will also hear directly from peer mentors about their experiences in the program and examples of successful transitions to community employment.
